Director of Shanghai Institute of Immunology, Director of Department of Immunology and Microbiology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Visiting Professor of Department of Immunology and Biology, Yale University. He holds a bachelor's degree from Peking University, a master's degree and a doctorate from Yale University, and a postdoctoral position at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). He has served as assistant professor, associate professor, and professor (Tenure) at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. His research interests include immune regulation and signal transduction, intestinal immunity and immune mechanism of enteritis and intestinal cancer. He has published nearly 200 academic papers in top international journals such as Nature, Cell, and Nature Immunology, and has been cited nearly 15,000 times. He is also a reviewer of key projects, surface projects and youth projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, an expert in the evaluation of the National High-level Talent Program, and an associate editor of JMCB and Cellular Immunology.
